Packages for Inmates

Different facilities have different rules about what can be delivered on package day, but all the facilities agree that once an inmate has received a package he/she cannot receive another for 90 days (even though package day generally occurs at least once a month). None of the facilities will accept pajamas with draw strings and they only accept flat, white, twin sheets. The different jails generally require that inmates fill out some sort of package request forma and have it approved before the designated package day. Whoever delivers the package must have a picture ID. The different policies at the different jails are laid out below.

 

 

OPP

Delivery date/time: 1st Friday of the month, 8am-1pm in visitation area

Items allowed in package:

  • 2 flat, white, twin size sheets  
  • 2 sets of pajamas (snaps or buttons, no drawstrings and can not be solid blue or black in color)

Paperwork involved: Inmates must fill out package form by the 25th of each month in order to receive items on the following package day.

Packages can be delivered in person or mailed. If a package arrives by mail and not on a designated package day, it will be held and given to the inmate on the next package day.

 

Tents

Delivery date/time: every Tuesday, 8-9am

Items allowed in package:

  • 2 twin, flat sheets (preferably white)  
  • 2 large bath towels (preferably white)  
  • 2 face towels (preferably white)  
  • 3 pairs of underwear (preferably white)  
  • 2 pairs of pajamas (snaps or buttons, no drawstrings, any color, no name brands)

Paperwork involved: Inmates must request the specific items by request form in advance and clear the items with the watch commander before package day.

Packages can be delivered in person or mailed.

Other info: The sender/deliverer of the package must be on the inmate's visitor list.

 

Conchetta

Delivery date/time: every 3rd Monday of the month, 8:30-10am

Items allowed in package:

  • 1 white, twin, flat sheet  
  • 1 set of pajamas

Paperwork involved: Inmate must fill out and have package request form approved before package day.

Packages can be delivered in person or mailed. If a package arrives by mail and not on a designated package day, it will be held and given to the inmate on the next package day.

 

 

Templeman V

Delivery date/time: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, 7:30-10:30am

Items allowed in package:

  • 1 twin, flat, white sheet  
  • 2 large white bath towels  
  • 2 white face towels  
  • 6 pairs of white socks  
  • crew-neck or v-neck white t-shirts (no pockets), 6 allowed for men and 3 allowed for women  
  • 6 pairs of white underwear
  • 3 white bras (for women)
  • 1 pair of shower slippers  
  • 2 thermal tops (white or off-white)  
  • 2 pairs of thermal bottoms (white or off-white)  
  • 2 sets of pajamas (no solid colors, no pockets, may be print or white)

Paperwork involved: Inmate must fill out a clothing request form (available on the modules) and have the form approved by a deputy before package day (if package is being delivered in person, see below).

Packages can be delivered in person or mailed. If sending a package by mail, Deputy Johnson must approve the package ahead of time. The package will be given to the inmate regardless of when it arrives in the mail. If you are delivering a package in person, the inmate must have the proper request form sent in prior to the designated package days.

 

TDC

Delivery date/time: 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month during regular visiting hours (i.e. 7:30-10:30am, 1-5pm, and 6-9pm)

Items allowed in package:

  • no t-shirts  
  • 2 white bath towels  
  • 2 white wash clothes  
  • 2 thermal tops (light colors)  
  • 2 thermal bottoms (light colors)  
  • 2 pairs of pajamas (no dark colors)  
  • 3 pairs of white socks  
  • 3 pairs of white underwear  
  • 1 pair of shower slippers  
  • flat, white, twin sheets

Paperwork involved: Watch commander or liaison deputy must approve package request form (filled out by inmate) before package day 

Packages can be delivered in person or mailed. If a package arrives by mail and not on a designated package day, it will be held and given to the inmate on the next package day.
